PROJECT OVERVIEW
Artium Construction negotiated this scheme and delivered 8,000 sq ft of prime retail space, enabling Artium Commercial to extend the retail offering on Bluebird Way in Brough. The scheme consisted of a Starbucks Drive Thru, Domino’s Pizza, and 4 speculative units.

The retail shells were constructed using traditional foundations, a steel frame, and ground-bearing floor slabs. Externally, a mix of masonry and rainscreen cladding was used, complemented by large areas of glazing and curtain walling to support the relevant retail branding. The project also included a Section 278 scheme to connect the retail park to the existing adopted highway.
Coordinating and managing the statutory services was a key focus throughout, to mitigate delay and satisfy retail leases, whilst working adjacent to live Network Rail assets within the parameters of their legislation.
BROUGH NEW RETAIL
“We approached Artium Construction as their growing reputation in the marketplace suggested that they were best placed to offer value for money on a negotiated procurement route. They did not disappoint…they took control of the design, market testing and procurement right from the outset and achieved our budget expectations by thinking ‘outside of the box’. The build experience was exactly the same…professionally managed and controlled throughout, with little pressure on us as a client. I would highly recommend.”
